British Standards Institution(BSI) was founded in 1901. In 1929 it was authorized by US Royal as the first National Standard Institution in the world. Meanwhile it is also one of the founding members of International Standard Organization (ISO). As the earliest and the most authoritative standard constituting, testing, registering and certificating organization, BSI constituted and issued the first commercial standard, and created the most reliable and abroad approved ISO management system. Now it becomes the pronoun of standard and is adopted by more than 500 thousand institutions in the world. BSI is the sole certificate institution which is entrusted to develop and constitute standards by ISO, and was approved by UK UKAS and American ANAB successively.

International Automotive Task Force (IATF), is an association combined by automotive companies and automotive industry’s organizations widely from USA, Germany, France, Italy, UK and so on. It is mainly engage in the quality management system requirement of automotive industry. In 1999, it issued ISO/TS16949:1999 technical specification and in 2002 updated the ISO9001:2000 to ISO/TS16949:2002.
